@RichardS3059 thank you! I like your second suggestion a lot, because for me this is always a client-specific issue. I am going to try that. Thanks again!

RE: AI Wish Listposted in AI Features
After spending some time on invoicing yesterday, some AI help in the billing modules would be great. For example, AI could check that both task and activity codes have been selected for fee entries, and that they are consistent with the matter (e.g., domestic, international, stage) and the description of the work done. It could also check that the task code used is on a particular client's list of approved codes. (For example, I have some clients that will accept PA430, and others that will not, and I am constantly getting this wrong, which I only find out when I am uploading the invoice to the client's system, at which point it's much more of a PITA to fix.) It could also detect that something that is actually an expense was accidentally coded as fee (which I seem to have a knack for doing).

@gregg_appcoll unfortunately, that doesn't work. In fact, it deletes whatever I added, so that I have only the one prompt from you guys.

RE: AI Wish Listposted in AI Features
Here are a few additional things I would love to be able to do (some may already have been suggested):
-
Get two versions of the OAR, one without any amendments to the independent claim(s), and one assuming the suggested amendments are made. I’ve noticed that it tends to recommend what I consider to be “too narrow” amendments (e.g., if the examiner found any dependent claim allowable, it recommends rewriting it in independent form, even if there are good arguments to be made without amendments). I'll amend if the examiner has a reasonable point, but if the examiner doesn't, I don't want to amend unnecessarily.
-
Provide a set of amended claims and have the OAR draft generated based on my amended claims.
-
Get the same kind of analysis for foreign OAs as is being done for domestic OAs. I would love to be able to upload a set of documents and have them analyzed and draft arguments generated.
-
Prepare an initial draft of an appeal brief or a pre-appeal brief. I would want to be able to specify the claims being appealed. Even having an AI-generated summary of the claimed subject matter would be a great help so that I could focus on the arguments in the brief.

How to create/save new form fields?posted in AI Features
Is it possible to create new form fields for ourselves and save them? I opened the Draft e-Office Action Response form field and selected "Save as new," and then I edited from there. (I was trying to make a separate form just for analysis of the office action, but not drafting of the response. I want to test how it compares to the analysis I did on already-filed responses.) I ran it successfully once from that popup window. Then I went to look at something else, and my new form field had disappeared. Am I doing something wrong? TIA

Client-specific tasksposted in Tasks Module
What is the best way to create client-specific tasks? For example, I have some clients who take care of annuities and maintenance fees themselves, and I have other clients who rely on me to take care of them. For U.S. patents, I would like the maintenance fee tasks to generate only for those clients who rely on me. Right now these tasks generate for all matters and all clients, and I have to go in and do a mass "not needed" for the clients who have responsibility for maintenance fees.
It appears I can tweak the standard task, but I am reluctant to do that. Is there any other way to accomplish this?
