@GeorgeJ4336 Since AppColl made it possible to specify that a custom matter field is a URL, I have made extensive use of this feature. I have one custom matter field dedicated to a patent office link (such as an application's page in Patent Center, the European Register, or WIPO). Some of my clients use shared (ex., Google) shared folders for their IP matters. So, I have another custom matter field dedicated to the matter's corresponding client shared folder.
These custom matter fields have been very helpful, and I appreciate the work AppColl did to make them work. Thanks!

Hi Sarah. We still have severe security concerns with offering an API or an MCP, especially allowing AI to acess AppColl databases. However, we are offering built-in AI workflows within AppColl. My reading of this thread is that Christian requested (among other options) a feature for Appcoll to send an admin an email notification when a client contact includes a customer number that is not included in the "Process eofficeaction" setting. It also seems from the thread that the feature was implemented. When I attempted to test the email notification, however, nothing happened. Could you confirm that the feature is still enabled and, if so, please direct me on how to utilize it?

We rarely deal with retainers, so this is a new problem for me. I will say that non-retainer invoicing and syncing with QBO has been working nicely for us once we got it set up.

One thing I have noticed is that if I create a billing item for "retainer" and there are no other billing items, the invoice simply will not create a balance due and will not sync to QBO. I'm curious if anyone has a work around. My plan is to manually create a retainer invoice in QBO so I can collect the retainer. Then I will manually create a retainer entry in AppColl. I don't know what manual process is going to be needed once I actually invoice but I'll figure it out when we do that.

What might be helpful is just to hear how other people have done this. Not asking for the platform to be changed, but just to hear from other end users that successfully handle retainers and also use AppColl for billing.

I second this! As we are building tools via Codex and the like, we are finding it very difficult without direct access (via) API to our docketing system. Appcoll's reports provide us the data we need in many instances, but they are cumbersome to maintain and seem like an unnecessary hurdle. Additionally, it would be nice to be able to automate some actions we take regularly in Appcoll, such as adding comments to tasks, without having to upload a CSV file or log in.

Hi Theresa. There sure is. We send reports via email to any email program. If you use Outlook, the reports will open right up in the body of the email if you use option 11 as shown in the first article below. This article teaches you how to schedule reports to email you as needed. The 2nd article shows you how to create the docketing reports first.
