Ability to filter Contacts by Matter

It would be really great if there was a way to, in the Contacts module, filter contacts by matter. For example, when you open the Contact Details for a particular inventor, there is a button you can click to show all the matters that they are listed as an inventor for. I, however, would like to be able to search contacts by entering a matter and getting a list of the inventors for it back.
It is sometimes very useful to be able to see how inventors are listed as contacts--this is particularly the case when it is necessary to view their names broken down into discrete first, middle, and last names. The only way to do that is to check each inventor individually by clicking through the Inventors entries in a matter and editing each contact to view the specific fields or by creating a filter/database query in Contacts to select all of the inventors for a matter (I just did one with 12 inventors!) and then listing them in table form.
