Alternate form letter field if original field is blank?

I know I can do this:

{!No Client Ref!Matter.ClientRef} and if {Matter.ClientRef} is empty it will print the text "No Client Ref". However, I would like to do something like:

{!Matter.AttorneyRef!Matter.ClientRef} and print the AttorneyRef if the ClientRef is blank. Is there syntax to support this?

Also, I only learned about the !XXX! option through reading someone's request for a new feature. Is there a document available with all my syntax options? I can only find the list of form letter fields.
