@gregg_appcoll do you know when the new form is to be released?

Make Create Form Letters button available within Tasks module view
Currently, the Create Form Letters button is available to users in two places (that I'm aware of): 1) from within a specific matter (1st screenshot) or 2) from the Matters module view (2nd screenshot).
Would it be possible to make the Create Form Letters button available from the Tasks module? For example: if a user views their docket and would like to use a Response to Office Action Word template (our firm has made available to users), the user could access that template straight from the tasks view. Side note: our response template includes the date of the office action and it would be helpful if the RefDate field could be used within the template.

RE: Contact creation date
@joe-appcoll-com I would also like to know how to find out when a contact record was created. When completing professional questionnaires for the industry, often times it is asked, "How many new clients have been added in the last [insert interval]."
The Create Date field is available in other modules. Could we make it available in the Contacts Module?

More control for admins and assigning Bulk Edit permissions
Currently, administrators have the ability to select Enable bulk edit commands for users, in Permissions.
It was recently discovered that although the "Enable" box is checked for a user, and although Modify permissions are enabled for the Billing module, this actually does not grant Bulk Edit permissions. To get the "Bulk Edit" button to appear for the user, an admin must also grant Modify permissions for the Tasks module - a completely unrelated module.
I don't know about most, but I'm guessing giving Modify Tasks permissions to an attorney is more than undesirable. I however would like to help them be more efficient when it comes to approving billing entries which they could do with Bulk Edit permissions.
The example of this user's permissions are seen in the below screenshot. My suggestions on how I imagine this functionality to be modified is in red font, squares, and strikethrough.
If you would like to see this modification, please vote by clicking on the upward facing carrot at the right of this post.
Thank you!!

RE: Email Intake address simplification
@gregg_appcoll we have seen our attorney reference number appear in the email address for at least a year. When you say, "this request has been added," what is different about the function?

RE: Email Intake address simplification
I might be completely missing the mark on this thread so apologies in advance.
When in the matter itself, the intake email address is present on the left side of the screen. If you mouse over and do a simple drag over the link to copy, it copies as it appears. However, if you right click on the intake email address link, and select Copy Email Address, the Attorney Ref number appears in the email address. At least that's what we see on our side when sending a message. We have used this method for quite some time and it seems to work well for us.

RE: Open search field under module tabs
@AnnM9156 thanks for your input. We use an arbitrary attorney reference number format which does not include a country code.

Open search field under module tabs
Would anyone else like the open search field, which appears under the module tab headers, to be modified to include the Country Code when results appear?
For example, for Madrid Protocol matters the "title" (mark name) is the same. Let's assume the mark name is MY MARK and the IB registration has designated 10 jurisdictions. The results in the search field (if searching MY MARK) would list likely 12 results (the basic US matter, the IB matter, and the 10 jurisdictions). At a glance it is not possible to know which matter is the AU designation (again as an example).
In our database the 10 designated matters would have a 'title' such as MY MARK (IB designation). So, our work around is to further change the 'title' to MY MARK (IB-AU designation). We generally do not like to include other database field values in another field, because each field in order to retain database integrity should only include one value type. The 'title' field should only include the mark and no other values such as a country code.
This is one of our database philosophies, and so to stick to that, we are asking if others would like to see the search field modified so that search results could include the country code.
Please vote if you would like to see this modification. Would also appreciate others' feedback if you have a different work around (outside of running a report in the Matters module).

RE: Missed Task Items
Add the column 'TaskStatus' to your view in the Tasks Module. Within the Edit Filters window, change the view to All Completed and in the next row of criteria, select TaskStatus. In the text field, type Missed. Execute the view and the results will appear.

RE: Separately store each attachment, when email message is uploaded to email folder
@GeorgeJ4336
This happens for us frequently as well. Our work around is to forward the email to the appropriate AppColl email address (ex. xxxxm123@intake.appcoll.com). I generally just put "for the file" in the email message, but this way it is saved to the matter, the documents are saved separately AND the message appears in the conversation tab. -
RE: Foreign law support
@RichardS3059 I second IP Manager (ugh). I too managed a medium sized law firm docketing group and while the updates were nice, the firm's portfolio was made up of a mixture of foreign and US. As you said, the effort to keep those rules current if quite a commitment. One thing we appreciate about AppColl is the affordability. I think by not having foreign rules certainly helps with keeping costs low.

RE: Export Matter Images
@ChristianS2558 thank you so much for taking the time to write that all out. That is really helpful and I'll give it a go!

Export Matter Images
We would love to be able to export images from AppColl to an Excel spreadsheet. Example: a client would like a listing of their trademarks and the related design image, where applicable.

RE: Escape key to cancel
@jonah-soundhound-com I second your request. An example I experience often is when the calendar function is activated for a task or any other date field and AppColl requires the date to be selected and the Escape key function does not respond.
