      @KimG5166

      Thank you for the suggestion. We will look into adding an option to choose between the two. We hope this helps.

      We might be able to do this if you're using AppColl to send the email. We will pass this onto engineering. Unfortunately, it would not be possible to do so if you're using Outlook/Gmail due to browser restrictions on the amount of data that can be sent to another email program.

      I created a report of all my matters. I sorted it by Application Number then by Examiner Name so that Examiner Name is that main sorting criteria. For any given examiner name, the application numbers were in order. I saved it as a new test report. I opened some other report and then opened my test report. The matters were sorted by examiner name, but for any given examiner name, the application numbers were in no predictable order.

      If there is an existing way to save a report with a multi-level sort as Kim requests, I would love to know.

      @MikeO5888 Actually, there is a workaround....

      The 2K limit is, it is true, a browser-inherent limit. But not all browsers are created equal....

      Chrome and Edge, for example, seem to have limits of around 2K for MailTo link text.

      However, Firefox seems to have a massive larger limit. For example, I have been able to successfully generate emails from AppColl in Outlook using Firefox that have nearly 24,000 characters (5+ pages of solid text in Word).

      Keep in mind that if Firefox ever reduces that limit, there is nothing AppColl can do about it. At the same time, Chrome and Edge might raise it, allowing them to be used in a similar manner....

      So if you're willing to use Firefox as your AppColl browser, you should be able to have much more flexibility in terms of the size of the email template for direct creation in your Outlook client.

      Cheers,
      Christian

      There's already a link from the matter to billing items for it. Look for the green $ just to the left of the matter number at the top of the matter details screen, or in the group of icons in the Links column of a list of matters.

      @KimG5166 I like the idea. I would find it very useful. My first thought was that it would be a big project/change for the AppColl team.

      However, on a second thought, it might not be very difficult to implement. The Account Settings allow custom fields of type TextBox, DropDown, or MultiSelect. MultiSelect allows a database query for a source of values. The database query must be a Boolean expression.

      Perhaps AppColl could implement another type of custom field with a name such as DatabaseQuery. It would allow the user to enter any valid database query. It could, for example, allow IssueDate-FilingDate (which would tell you how long an application was pending).

      I hope that they implement the request for matters soon.

      I believe that your request for Today-OpendOn is for tasks database queries, not matter database queries. That would require that AppColl first enable custom fields for Tasks like they have for Matters. That probably deserves a different product request.
