The way to do this is to click the checkbox at the top of the page, which will show you all open tasks. From there, you can update these tasks in bulk. We hope this helps.
I created two user fields, one for first use in commerce and one for first use anywhere. I wouldn't try to overload priority date or some other pre-existing date with first use information.
Of course, it would be nice if AppColl had standard fields for these dates.

@MarkW5689 The new form field explorer control should help with most form field questions. It is available on the same pane as the history and discussion tabs.
