You can add custom fields in the matters module - up to 16 string fields and 4 date fields - to store information associated with a matter that is unique to your account. These custom fields appear in matter detail pages around the middle of the page.
When setup, these fields have identical functionality to the built-in fields. They can be added as columns to the main matters page and used in filters. They can also be imported and exported via CSV spreadsheets.
For most item details pages, there is a "Show History" link in the upper right corner. Clicking the link opens a vertical pane on the right side of the screen showing all the history for that specific item.
Available for AppColl PM Plus, the Conversations Tab allows another view for the emails that are sent into AppColl for a particular matter. Now when an email comes to a Matter's Intake email, AppColl will display the message on the Conversations Tab in a similar way as your email inbox. With this feature, you can easily download attachments, view, and reply to messages sent to the Intake address for that matter.
When a page is locked, it means someone else is currently accessing the page. This is done to prevent two people from simultaneously editing the same page. There is an option shown by the page lock text to send an email to the person using the page. This option sends an email that someone else is trying to access the page.
AppColl automatically generates both LEDES 1998B and 2.0 invoices every time an invoice is saved. Please note: LEDES invoices require a Tax ID number (which can be added to your law firm contact record) and an explicit Start Date in the invoice. In other words, the Start Date field in the invoice cannot be blank.
Yes. There is a product called AppColl Tandem that allows for your client to have their own AppColl account (free of charge for AppColl PM Plus users). The Tandem account give them access to whatever data you wish.
AppColl displays a yellow triangle next to any field in Matter Detail pages when a discrepancy exists between the information stored in AppColl and the information AppColl received from one of Private Pair (via XML files), EspaceNet or TSDR.
